Dave Lasier

President and CEO

Dave founded EnerSphere Communications in 2010. Dave brings more than 28 years of leadership, management and entrepreneurial experience in the wireless communications and energy industries. Prior to EnerSphere, Dave orchestrated the start-up, funding, growth, and operations of six international businesses that owned and operated cellular and wireless broadband networks, developed and supported mobile messaging (SMS) products, plus provided network engineering and management consultancy services. He started his wireless communications career at Motorola and joined BellSouth from 1990 to 1994 to establish and manage their international cellular engineering organization. Dave holds a BS in Business Administration from Bradley University, a BS in Thermodynamic & Energy Conversion Engineering from the University of Illinois, and a Masters of Business Administration from Lake Forest College. 

Katie Ashcroft

VP Finance

Katie founded EnerSphere with Mr. Lasier and brings 27 years of accounting, finance, and management experience assisting international private and public companies develop and execute their business strategies, implement financial systems, and manage financial and support organizations. Her experience includes accounting and financial management positions with global companies such as BellSouth, Unisys and Hughes Aircraft. In addition to EnerSphere, Katie has helped organize, secure capital, recruit talent and grow several other entrepreneurial ventures in the retail, financial services, and communications industries. She holds a BSBA degree in Marketing from Appalachian State University and an MBA degree from California State University (Fullerton) with an emphasis in International Finance.

David Elrod

VP Business & Product Management

David joined EnerSphere in early 2011 bringing over 25 years of leadership experience in the telecommunications industry working with service providers, large enterprises and consumer related applications segments. Prior to EnerSphere, David managed AT&T, Verizon and other multi-million dollar Tier 1 Carrier account teams at Global Crossing, Movius Interactive and BellSouth. David served as VP Marketing & Corporate Development with TWS an international wireless engineering firm and VP Marketing at Standard Telephone Company, an ILEC in North Georgia, following his 15-year career with BellSouth. David holds a B.S. in Industrial Management with an I.E. minor from Clemson University in South Carolina.

Michael Elling

Information Velocity Partners, Principal

Michael is a principal with Information Velocity Partners, focusing on strategic and financial advisory to companies in the info-media and communications sectors.  After 15 years in research and investment banking with Prudential, Oppenheimer and PaineWebber, Mr Elling co-founded a wireless messaging service provider, advised large firms such as Multex Systems, Telcordia and LightBridge, and helped raise capital for 6 other startups and growth companies. Mr. Elling has PhD and MS credits from NYU and a BS Finance from The Wharton School.

Michael is assisting the company with strategic marketing, capital raising and business development.

 

Susan McLaughlin

Nick Pierce & Associates, Partner

Susan possesses more than 30 years of senior management experience successfully leading public and private organizations. Ms. McLaughlin began her career with Citibank and Eastman Kodak Company before moving to Atlanta in 1998 to become President of BellSouth Consumer Services and later AGL Resources. Susan is a Partner with Nick Pierce & Associates, a high-end retained search firm primarily focused on serving progressive Financial, Technology and Industrial clients. Additionally, she provides business advisory, strategy and operational execution planning to small/medium size businesses involved with transaction processing, financial services, media, equipment distribution and energy, plus private equity firms.

Susan has been assisting the company on matters related to strategic direction and capital formation, plus identifying executive management requirements.

 

Juan Saca

Capgemini, VP Telecommunications

Juan is Vice President of the Communications Business Unit at Capgemini, one of the world's foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services. In addition to sales and service delivery to global communication firms including AT&T, Mr. Saca supports the overall business strategies and operations related to the firms clients in Latin America. Prior to joining Capgemini in 2004, Mr. Saca was responsible for business development and operations at BellSouth International in Israel and Latin America including Vice President/COO for BellSouth Chile from 1997 to 2000 and President and General Manager of BellSouth Peru from 2000 until 2004, when BellSouth sold the operations to Telefonica Moviles.

Juan has extensive international and operations experience and industry relationships. He is helping EnerSphere define BSS/OSS system requirements and identify personnel, who could help the company develop and expand its operations in the U.S. and abroad.
